The Forum on Climate Change (FORUMCC) is a Tanzanian non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing climate resilience, climate justice, and sustainable development. We are legally registered under the NGO Act of 2002 (Registration No. 00NGO/00010089).
FORUMCC was established in 2008 as a loose network, incorporated in 2013 as a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act of 2002, and formally registered as an NGO in 2019.

The programme promotes climate finance accountability, green and inclusive energy, gender-responsive climate action, and civil society engagement in regional and global climate processes.
It also contributes to deepening African civil society engagement in international post-Paris climate dialogue and response strategies.

Implemented in Chamwino and Mpwapwa districts in Dodoma, this project enhances adaptive capacity of semi-arid agropastoral communities through Local Adaptation Plans of Action (LAPAs).
The initiative addresses drought resilience, water harvesting, climate-smart agriculture, soil conservation, and sustainable livelihoods.
It also contributes to building core capacity to address adaptation in productive coastal and vulnerable ecosystems in Tanzania.
A three-year initiative empowering youth and young women to influence climate governance and build sustainable livelihoods.
The programme complements the Help Her Live, Learn and Earn (HELP) Project, advancing gender equity and inclusive climate-resilient development.
A SIDA-funded programme strengthening civil society organizations and promoting accountable climate action across Africa.
This includes the Global Civil Society Strengthening Programme (MKUA 2022–2025) and the Sida Civil Society Strengthening Programme 2025–2028.
The programme integrates climate finance transparency initiatives such as ACATI, RAFIC, ACAI, and Green Climate Fund Opportunities Awareness (GOAT), while establishing resource and innovation centres for local solutions.
FORUMCC is accredited to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) with Observer Status, actively engaging in regional and global climate platforms to promote equitable and locally driven solutions. We work to amplify Africa’s voice in climate diplomacy and ensure that community priorities are reflected in international processes.
As the Designated National Platform in Tanzania for the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), FORUMCC is part of a continental coalition of more than 2,000 civil society organizations across 54 African countries. This platform enables coordinated policy advocacy, community mobilization, and knowledge generation to promote fair, inclusive, and ecologically just climate action. Through these mechanisms, FORUMCC contributes to shaping transformative climate policies, strengthening accountability frameworks, and ensuring that frontline communities are meaningfully represented in decision-making spaces.
